Our mission is to sell the best food available anywhere, providing excellent quality,
generous portions and exceptional value. We buy top-quality ingredients and do not cut corners in either the caliber
or the amount of the food we serve. We also pledge to our customers a constant commitment to excellence and personal
attention to detail.
Big Chic has a continuing commitment to excellence in our franchise program as well. We look at franchising as a partnership.
By combining our proven concept, experience and successful system of operations with the managerial and financial resources
of Big Chic Franchise Owners, we create a whole that is stronger than its parts. We pledge to do our utmost to ensure
that each individual franchise achieves the greatest possible degree of profitability.
Big Chic's growth strategy is to serve smaller markets. Opening in a smaller city
or town provides many advantages, including less competition, immediate market recognition, and lower expenses,
including rent, labor and marketing. These benefits allow you to achieve and maintain profitability more quickly
than in larger markets.
Our initial franchise offering is available to people in Georgia and nearby states.
Once we have firmly established our franchise program in the Southeastern U.S., we will
then expand to other parts of the nation.
We draw all types of people, from children to seniors, lower income to upper income,
everyone who enjoys great tasting traditional American fare. We appeal to people who are tired of fast food but
still want fast service.
Do you offer any flexibility in your site selection program?
Yes, Big Chic restaurants have been proven to work in a number of different sites,
including converting a site that was formerly a restaurant, a strip center location or building your own free-standing building.
Some of our restaurants offer walk-up service only. Others provide walk-in counter service. Still others give customers the
choice of eating in our comfortable dining area or taking their food to go.
Yes, we encourage you to offer catering on a pick-up basis for corporate meetings,
company picnics, church functions, athletic events, family gatherings and virtually every other type of activity. Our menu adapts
particularly well to catering. This service acts as a profit-building compliment to your daily in-restaurant business and provides you with exposure to new customers.
What types of advertising programs do you have in place?
You are required to spend at least $500 per month in advertising for your location.
Should there be other Big Chic franchises in your market, all local Franchise Owners are required to form an Advertising Cooperative.
Such Cooperatives allow all Franchise Owners in a given market to pool their funds to market more effectively. The member Franchise Owners determine the rules of the
Cooperative, and contributions to it are considered part of the $500 per month local advertising requirement mentioned above.
Yes, but rather than paying the Franchisor a percentage of your gross revenues,
Big Chic Franchise Owners pay only a flat weekly service fee. This service fee starts at only $400 per week for the first year you are in business, with reasonable annual increases thereafter. This flat service fee means that as your restaurant sales increase, you get to keep more of what you earn. The service fees help defray the costs of our on-going support programs, including continuing training, visits by
field support staff, strategic planning meetings, menu development and continual updating and refinement of our systems.
Our pre-opening training program is quite extensive and covers everything
you need to know to open and operate your Big Chic restaurant successfully. Phase I lasts for up to 30 days and takes
place at the Big Chic Home Office and restaurant. You will gain valuable hands-on experience as well as an overview of all
areas of managing a Big Chic restaurant. For the second phase of your training, one or more representatives from Big Chic
will come to your location for up to ten more days to assist in training your staff, final location set-up and your crucial
first few days of operations.
There is no charge for your initial training. You will be responsible for paying for your travel, lodging, meals and incidental expenses as well as those
of any of your staff who attend Phase I training in the middle Georgia area.
Once you have secured your site and signed your lease, you can be open for business in as few as 120 days. This shorter pre-opening period allows you to begin generating
revenues far more quickly than with many restaurant franchises.
We want Franchise Owners who are willing to be owner operators and who
will work hard for their own success. You need to be a people-oriented person. You also have to be committed to running a top-quality operation.
In addition, you will need to have the requisite financial resources.
I'm interested in learning more. What should I do next?
First, download and complete the Preliminary Application and return it to the Big Chic corporate office.
After reviewing your information, we will contact you by telephone to discuss this opportunity in more detail and answer
your questions. Then, if we are both interested in pursuing a franchise relationship, we will set up a mutually convenient time to meet.
During this meeting, we will give you the required legal documents, allow you to observe operations at a restaurant
and go into more detail about the Big Chic franchise opportunity.
